Natalie Portman is joining Danny McBride and James Franco in Your Highness, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

Portman will play a warrior princess who is the love-interest to star and cowriter Danny McBride. The David Gordon Green-helmed Universal comedy begins filming July 20th in Belfast, Northern Ireland and also stars James Franco.
The film features an arrogant, lazy prince (McBride) who must complete a quest to save his father’s kingdom. Joining him on the quest is his more heroic brother, played by Franco. McBride previously worked with Green in Pineapple Express and on several episodes of McBride’s HBO series, Eastbound and Down. The film is cowritten by McBride and Ben Best (Eastbound and Down).
“This is such an original idea for a comedy that takes place in a kingdom with dragons and wizards, with Danny at the center as the outcast brother who gets an opportunity to prove himself,” Producer Scott Stuber told Variety.
The film looks to be made as a star-vehicle for McBride, who is used to being the second banana who doesn’t get the girl (see also: Land of the Lost). So, with Portman coming on board, it’s clear this is McBride’s film, though one has to remember how Franco stole Pineapple Express from Seth Rogen. Either way, this project looks like a lot of fun.
