Will Ferrell First Guest on Conan’s ‘Tonight Show’

Will Ferrell killed two birds with one stone by appearing on The Tonight Show with Conan O’Brien as the first guest. After making what can only be called a royal entrance, Ferrell welcomed O’Brien with some tips for living in Los Angeles (”on Sunday’s you can drive your car on the tarmac at LAX.”). There was also time for the requisite promoting of Land of the Lost, including a funny clip featuring urine (Yes, urine. Gross by funny).

Later, Ferrell serened Conan to welcome him on his first show. But the song he chose had a “goodbye” theme, confusing O’Brien. ”Don’t get me wrong. I’m pulling for you. But this little thing is a crapshoot at best,” explained Ferrell.

Ferrell was a guest on O’Brien’s last Late Night show in New York. Tonight Show announcer/sidekick Andy Richter is a regular in Will Ferrell’s movies (Elf, Blades of Glory, Semi-Pro).
