Rumour Mill - Steve Carell, James Franco in ‘Full House’ movie?

According to the New York Daily News John Stamos is thinking up ideas for a Full House movie. He wants to see other actors playing the roles that made him along with Bob Saget famous.
It is still very early in the process, but Stamos would like to see James Franco playing his role of Uncle Jesse, and Steve Carell as Danny Tanner.
“I see Steve Carell as [Bob Saget’s character] Danny Tanner and Tracy Morgan as [Dave Coulier’s] Joey Gladstone because he’s funny.”

In the hands of Adam McKay, set in a batshit crazy world like Step Brothers, taking place in the late 1980s, that could be a pretty funny idea if it all-out mocks the original show.
In the hands of a Shawn Levy, set in a “Boo-hoo, Dad’s too busy for the family” storyline, this would deserve to die.
What Stamos “wants”, Stamos may not get. Does he have 10 million dollars?
That would actually be kinda cool. I would watch that. I remember watching the show when I was really little and Franco can totally pull off Stamos’ character from what I remember.
