Zooey Deschanel joins ‘Your Highness’

Zooey Deschanel was last seen saying “yes” to Jim Carrey and returns to comedy by signing on to play James Franco’s age-appropriate love interest in Your Highness. The David Gordon Greene film also stars Danny McBride as a lazy prince who must save his father’s kingdom and Natalie Portman as a warrior-princess. According to the Hollywood Reporter, Deschanel is set to play Belladonna, the virginal bride of Franco’s heroic prince. It’s unclear if she goes along on the quest or stays back at the castle.
Filming is set to begin later this month in Northern Ireland.
