Lucas Dick Jokes About Father Andy in Stand-Up Routine

Andy and Lucas Dick at the Premiere of Forgetting Sarah Marshall
First and foremost, remember that here in Fratville we are fans of longtime Frat Pack collaborator Andy Dick. Heck we even awarded Dick with an Lifetime Achievement Earmuff Award back in 2007. So, this latest post is done with love, not ridicule.
The New York Post is reporting that Andy Dick’s son Lucas Dick is joining his father on stage and is not afraid to make fun of the old man.
Trouble magnet Andy Dick got a dressing-down from his 21-year-old son at Carolines on Broadway the other night. Lucas Dick, a fledgling stand-up, appeared onstage with his dad and told the crowd: “I’ll come home to find a big party at our house and my father will be rolling around naked in ketchup on the floor, and I’ll think, ‘Oh yeah, it’s Tuesday.’ “
Andy Dick’s reputation certain proceeds him and likely the audience is more than familiar with his history of antics. In fact, I think going to an Andy Dick standup show is kind of like going to a Guns ‘n Roses concert: you expect the show to go horribly wrong. So, it’s fun to see Lucas “roasting” his father.
Meanwhile, it doesn’t appear that Dick is ready to go all soft on us…
Andy — sporting the ankle bracelet he wears since pleading guilty to pulling down a 17-year-old girl’s top — closed his show in full drag, “accidentally” exposing himself when his girdle slipped.
Lucas Dick is definitely building his career. His official website has photos, videos, upcoming stand-up dates and a biography. “Lucas was born in Chicago in 1988, he lived there for one year. Which he claims was the best year of his life. He grew up in the mean streets of South Pasa-dangerous. Where he learned the in’s and out’s of the nothing particular. Then shit hit the fan. On the day of his high school graduation Lucas moved in with his dad in Hollywood. Lucas quickly found out that throwing up on your floor is not fun. He currently lives alone in Hollywood in a shoe box. He also is a very good b-ball player. He loves the life he lives, and knows its only gonna get better from here.”

I wonder if his whole shtick is “Lookit me! I’m Andy Dick’s kid!”
I saw him on July 31 in Irvine as he opened for his dad, Andy Dick. I really think Lucas has potential. You can tell he’s just starting out but that’s ok, you have to start somewhere! My fiance and I were rooting for him all the way and Lucas did make us laugh…even if it was at the expense of his father! LOL Seriously, Lucas is absolutely adorable and if given the chance, he’ll go far!
Good luck, Lucas! Come visit the Tempe Improv sometime soon! Oh, and we’ll let you bring your dad along if you want!
