Not a big night for Frat Pack stars at the 61st Annual Primetime Emmys.  Office co-stars Steve Carell and Rainn Wilson were once again passed over in their categories, as were SNL stars Amy Poehler and Kristen Wiig. This follows last week’s Tech Emmys where Will Ferrell also left empty-handed.

This was the 4th year in a row Carell has lost Best Actor in a Comedy (this year losing to 30 Rock’s Alec Baldwin for the 2nd year in a row.) The Office did win one Directing award for the one-hour post Super Bowl episode “Stress Relief” (the episode that Jack Black guested in).

(Note to Office fans: The Frat Pack Tribute’s Kevin Crossman returns with his That’s What She Said podcast this week to discuss the season premiere episode, “Gossip.”)

And now for your viewing pleasure, Red Carpet photos:

I turned it off after they announced Baldwin won. I enjoy 30 Rock, but he is not outperforming Carell in every season. I’m really curious what Carell would have to do to win the award.

Apparently Steve Carell needs to play his twin brother or some other character in order to win. Both Baldwin and Toni Collette won this year by playing multiple characters.
