Vince Wants Kids, Says ‘Old School 2′ Script is “Pretty Good”

Vince Vaughn in Old School
Vince Vaughn has been making numerous press appearances to promote Couples Retreat, and we have two sort-of related doozies to point you to today.
Collider interviewed Vince and smartly followed up on the rumors of a sequel to Old School. While acknowledging director Todd Phillips’ Hangover-inspired buzz, Vaughn said it may or may not happen but he has seen the script.
I wouldn’t say never. I know he’s (Todd Phillips) doing “Hangover” and has those things to do. There has been a script for it which is actually pretty good. But I’m not sure. It’s a possibility. He had a good idea for what could be a second one.
Vaughn indicated he doesn’t have any pending projects in the pipeline, except to move forward with marriage to fiancee Kyla Weber. In a People Magazine interview, Vince even said he wants to settle down and have kids.
It’s the first time that I really want to have kids. I’ve been very fortunate in my career, and my life has been about that for so long that you get bored of it. You’re ready for your life to be about other people and other things.
We still view Old School 2 (or, Old School Dos as it is often referred) as a long-shot. But Vince’s comments are certainly more positive than we have seen before from anyone not named Luke Wilson. But perhaps Vince will call up his Old School costar Will Ferrell for child-rearing advice and maybe they’ll commiserate about the Old School 2 script.
