These photos surfaced on the Accidental Sexiness blog, where you can see a couple additional shots of Steve Carell and Paul Rudd filming Dinner for Schmucks for director Jay Roach (Meet the Parents). Filming has started in Los Angeles, and the film is about an extraordinarily stupid man possesses the ability to ruin the life of anyone who spends more than a few minutes in his company.
Can you guess who the stupid man is?
We think this is a great concept for Carell, and while is has hints of previously clueless characters like Michael Scott or the 40 year-old virgin, something tells me this is stupid with a capital S. We’re definitely looking forward to this film that truly should cement Paul Rudd’s status as an official member of the Frat Pack. Rudd recently wrapped filming an untitled comedy for James L. Brooks opposite Owen Wilson and Reese Witherspoon.
For some reason, these pictures (or rather those outfits) give me a “What About Bob?” vibe which could be interesting. I’m sure that’s the first time anyone compared Rudd to Richard Dreyfuss, haha.
