Universal Pushing ‘Funny People’ For Award Consideration
Universal has launched UniversalPicturesAwards.com, a site to promote screenings for awards consideration and to make content available to voters and the media. Judd Apatow’s Funny People heads the films featured, a group that also includes Bruno, Public Enemies, and It’s Complicated.

There’s nothing particularly surprising about the awards positioning for Funny People. Adam Sandler and Seth Rogen are put in the lead category, with all other performers including Leslie Mann in supporting. For Oscar consideration, this is the proper placement.
