Even in a “down” year for the Frat Pack, the group is still popular enough to garner several nominations for this year’s People’s Choice Awards. Voting is open at www.peopleschoice.com through December 8. The awards will be presented January 6 at the Nokia Theatre, in a ceremony hosted by Queen Latifah.

Here are nominations of note:

  • Ben Stiller and Vince Vaughn for Favorite Comedic Star. Other nominees include Adam Sandler, Jim Carrey, and Ryan Reynolds
  • Will Ferrell for Favorite Web Celeb. Other nominees include Andy Samberg, Ashton Kutcher, Miley Cyrus, and P. Diddy
  • Steve Carell for TV Comedy Actor. Other nominees include Alec Baldwin, Charlie Sheen, Jim Parsons, and Neil Patrick Harris. The Office was nominated for Favorite TV Comedy.
  • The Hangover was nominated for Favorite Movie and Favorite Comedy Movie. Other comedy nominees included 17 Again, Bride Wars, He’s Just Not That Into You, and The Proposal
  • Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian for Favorite Family Movie. Other nominees include Hannah Montana: The Movie, Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs, Up, and Where the Wild Things Are

I know that it hasn’t been a great year at the box office for Frat Pack, but it’s pretty disappointing to see the Comedy Movie nominations. Bride Wars was panned and The Proposal was awful (in this reviewer’s opinion). 17 Again had a few nice moments but was mediocre at best. I thought the uneven Year One was better than these films. And where is I Love You, Man?

I Love You, Man has held up shockingly well over the past few months.
