Jenna Fischer Joining Owen Wilson in ‘Hall Pass’?

Jenna Fischer is in negotiations to play Owen Wilson’s wife in the Farrelly Brothers ‘ Hall Pass according to The Hollywood Reporter. The film begins production in late February, so Fischer will be available with an upcoming break in filming The Office.

As we told you last week, Hall Pass involves a wife (Fischer) who agrees to allow her husband to have an extramarital affair (a “hall pass.”). Also starring is Jason Sudekis and a yet-to-be-cast actress to play Sudekis’ wife. The plot description indicates that the women also take advantage of a hall pass.

Fischer has been doing great work on The Office (at least according to this cohost of the That’s What She Said podcast) but hasn’t been seen on screen since 2008’s little seen (but still quite good) The Promotion with John C. Reilly and Seann William Scott. Fischer’s big Frat Pack year came in 2007 when she starred in Blades of Glory and in the Earmuff-winning role in Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story.
