wes-anderson-spiderman-parodyA new viral video has been making the rounds through the blogosphere, imagining what a Wes Anderson reboot of the Spider-Man franchise would look like. All the elements you’d assume are in here: Jason Schwartzman’s awkwardness from Rushmore, the chilly sexual tension from Royal Tenenbaums, the bold yellow credits from Life Aquatic. But perhaps the most hilarious part might be the 100% spot-on Owen Wilson vocal impersonation.

Enough banter. Enjoy the video.

On a related note: Congratulations to Wes Anderson on receiving his 2nd Academy Award nomination for The Fantastic Mr. Fox for Best Animated Feature, 8 years after his first nomination for Original Screenplay (The Royal Tenenbaums, shared with Owen Wilson.)
