David Koechner Returns to Sports for Nike Air
David Koechner is probably best known for his role as sportscaster Champ Kind in Anchorman, depsite a series of memorable roles. In 2009, Koecher had a big year with some plum, hilarious, and memorable supporting roles in The Goods and Extract, along with a large supporting role opposite Luke Wilson in Tenure (coming to home video this month). Koechner also recently returned to a beloved role as Todd Packer on The Office, appearing in the St. Patrick’s Day episode with Anchorman costar Steve Carell.

Much has been made of Luke Wilson’s recent foray as television pitchman for AT&T. But, I suspect there will be less ire for Koechner who appears in a hilarious ad for Nike Air shoes. Koechner narrates the spot that tells how Nike collects air from star athletes for use in the special shoes. Definitely a great commercial and another inspired performance for one of our favorite Frat Pack friends.
