Jonah Hill

Jonah Hill continues to speak about his potential role in the proposed Zoolander sequel, indicating he discussed the role with Ben Stiller and writer Justin Theroux.

Hill  told The Playlist, “I haven’t read a script yet, but it’s something we’re all talking about and I’m totally open to doing it. I think I might play the new villain in that movie, but I haven’t read the script yet, but I would love to work with Ben.”

With Will Ferrell unlikely to return for the sequel, it continues to appear that Hill is locked into a key role in the film. ”I’ve had input with them as far as my character, but not as far as what the story will be. You just want to create a character that’s different, original and honest. Even if it’s a silly movie like ‘Zoolander 2.’ ”

One of Hill’s talents is his ability to play angry well. If so, he’d be perfect as a foil for relaxed Hansel and the dim Zoolander. It sounds like Hill’s character would be a character not related to Ferrell’s Mugatu character from the first film, but serving a similar role.

I’m sick of this guy, sure he was great in Superbad, but a villain in front of legends Stiller and Wilson? The villain must be someone older than the main characters, in my opinion. As a Paul Rudd fan even he can’t do it.

My suggestion would be, don’t judge me to soon, but think about it: Jim Carrey. It’s time to blend all the comedic geniusses into one movie. Not the same guys everytime..

“One of Hill’s talents is his ability to play angry well” excuse me but i never saw him angry in any movie, he bitches alot and thats it. Adam Sandler, he played angry perfect.

I think Superbad showed how Hill can do passive and frustrated angry.

I don’t understand this statement at all. Did you see the first Zoolander movie?

I disagree totally, Hill is hilarious and he has a long career ahead of him. I just saw GHTTG last night and I felt it was his best since Superbad (which cannot be topped, ever). I’m also pretty sure he plays angry in almost every movie he’s in Superbad, Knocked Up, the end of FSM, his cameo in T40YOV, Walk Hard. It may not be pure genuine pissed off but it’s a meanstreak atleast. GHTTG was so great I think they should do a third, maybe focusing on Sarah Marshall this time instead of Peter or Aldous.

Harlem- If you want to press a Jim Carrey/Frat Pack movie, press the Presidents video on Funny or Die. You could center it around Obama and how he gets advice from former presidents. It would be quite a treat to see so many former SNL stars plus the oober hilarious Jim Carrey. It would be nice to see Carrey pair with any of the Frat Packers.

I don’t like the Jim Carrey suggestion, I’m sorry. He’s too over the top for me. As for Jonah Hill being the villain the jury is still out. But I like him better than Seth Rogen or the others in the Apatow crew so that’s a step up for sure!

Yeah Jim kinda does his own thing, and does it well. Hill is awesome at everything. I like Rogen I think he can anchor a movie as well as anyone. Im also a big fan of Segel, I think hes a great actor and comedian. I also liked the TJ Miller cameo in GHTTG, hilarious! He is earning his Apatow stripes well, with working with Baruchel on SOOML and Segel on Gullivers Travels. I hope to see him in more movies.

Kevin Crossman: of course i did, with older i meant with age or apperance, Will Ferrel looked older not with age of course.

Nathan: I did saw the Presidenst video, it was funny but looked rushed, overall ok video. I agree with you. Frat packers with Jim Carrey, sounds awesome, if they take their time to write and film this movie it could be magic, no doubt.

Bonnie: Seth Rogen and Johan Hill, they have their unique qualities, i agree. Actually one can’t compare them with each other.

Nathan: I like Segel very much, Forgetting Sarah Marshal is one of my favorite movies, he has a great future for himself, but he takes his time and that is a good thing. He is very smart and makes smart funny comedies. Jonah Hill makes too much movies, and that pisses me off no offence of course, but not every comedy movie needs a Jonah Hill, he is not that great..

Anyway, the subject here is the main villain in Zoolander 2, and sorry but Jonah is not the right choice. Jim Carrey was only my suggestion, lets say search in that direction, don’t just pick a young popular “punk”.

I’m a Zoolander fan, and if they are making a sequel they must concider the opinion of the fans. Jonah Hill, you’re great but i prefer someone else… ( unless he pulls a Heath Ledger kinda performance)
