Cast Coming Together for Wiig’s ‘Bridesmaids’

The Hollywood Reporter is announcing a series of casting additions to the Kristen Wiig vehicle, Bridesmaids. The comedy was cowritten by Wiig and is produced by Judd Apatow and directed by Paul Feig.
The film stars Kristen Wiig as a maid of honor trying to please the snobby, rich bridesmaids at every pre-wedding event before her best friend’s nuptials.
The cast includes the previously announced Rose Bryne (Get Him to the Greek), Maya Rudolph (Idiocracy), and Jon Hamm (Mad Men). Newly announced cast members include Ellie Kemper (The Office), Jill Clayburgh (Dirty Sexy Money), Chris O’Dowd (Dinner for Schmucks and Gulliver’s Travels), Melissa McCarthy (The Back-up Plan) and Wendi McLendon-Covey (Reno 911!).
