Little Fockers

The trailer for the latest film in the Fockers saga has dropped and it certainly seems that Ben Stiller and Robert DeNiro are back to their same old but very funny tricks. Awkward dinner scene (complete with splattering blood), check. Jokes about penises, check. Gratuitous guest stars and cameos. Check, check.

Check out the Little Fockers trailer at Apple’s QuickTime site. An Official Website has also launched.

All your Fockers favorites are back (except for Dustin Hoffman), including Blythe Danner, Teri Polo, and Barbra Streisand. Along for the ride are supporting turns from the likes of Jessica Alba, Laura Dern, and Harvey Keitel.

Overall, the trailer brought the funny for me and as much as I don’t expect the third film the series to provide the unexpected surprises of the first film, I do think I’ll have to nudge my expectations up just a bit and declare I’m very much looking forward to this film.

The one that is disappointing is the lack of any coverage for Owen Wilson’s supposedly larger role. He is shown for only the briefest of moments, cavorting on a boat with a babe. Oh where oh where is the Jesus-loving Kevin Rawley we met in Meet the Parents?

So, what do you say Frat fans? Does this meet expectations?

I cannot decide if I like it yet. I would definitely say it met my expectations, but to be truthful I did not have high ones. The main thing that has me interested in this film is the whole deal that “Owen has a larger role.” If the trailer has anything to say about the film, I do not like it so far. Well this trailer was more of a teaser than a trailer anyways; it was brief and quick to the point. It gave me two decent chuckles, but I am really looking forward to a full 2nd trailer where it reveals more of story and shows more Owen! So for now I am looking forward to it, but I still am not sure what to expect.

Looks great, can’t wait! Though I would have really enjoyed a least a little bit of Owen, but then again it leaves more to be surprised with.

I hope this has a strong dark feeling the first one had and isnt a fart joke comedy because its centered around them having kids…De Niro and Stillers tension in the first was great and the rivarly between Owen and Ben was great too… Just hoping its an adult comedy.
