Danny McBride in Vitamin Water Commercial

I caught this ad at the theatre today. Took me a while to recognize the voice but once I did it pleased me to no end. Yep, that’s the voice of Danny McBride narrating the ad for Vitamin Water. The spot is part of a larger campaign featuring other funny people including Kristen Bell, Marlon Wayans, and Sarah Silverman. According to the Wall Street Journal, Vitamin Water’s sales have been slipping and Coca-Cola is trying to revitalize the brand.

For a hangover-themed ad, Coca-Cola sure found the right voice, as Danny McBride is an obvious choice for this theme due to numerous roles with substance abuse written all over them. McBride’s voice can be heard in the upcoming Despicable Me as well, with many other familiar voices including Steve Carell and Jason Segel.
