Maybe this has just as much as the lackluster summer box office than it does to the critically acclaimed and well-received indie comedy, but the Duplass Brothers’ Cyrus has cracked the Top 10 at the North American box office results. The John C. Reilly and Jonah Hill project made $770,000 this weekend, according to estimates. Playing in just 77 theatres, that’s good for tenth place overall with an average of $10,000 per theatre.

These box office returns bode well as the movie is rolled out into additional cities over the next month. Be sure to check our updated list of cities and go and support this movie!

In other box office news, Jonah Hill’s mainstream Hollywood comedy Get Him to the Greek made $1.1 million in its fifth weekend, bringing the total to just over $57 million. That’s a couple million ahead of Forgetting Sarah Marshall after five weekends.
