We happen to think Get Him to the Greek has been one of the best films of the year, and the modest summer hit has hit stores on DVD and Blu-ray. There are the usual assortment of Apatow-era extras, including deleted and extended scenes, line-o-rama, and a focus on the music from the movie.

One extra that isn’t advertised on the packaging is a segment featuring Jason Segel performing “Dracula’s Lament” alongside Jack Black. The clip is taken from Russell Brand’s “Scandalous” gig at O2 Arena in London in early 2009. The song is from Greek precursor Forgetting Sarah Marshall and the crowd was really into it.

It’s a little strange that this high-profile extra isn’t promoted more prominently. Then again, Universal used to do a better job promoting their home video releases (you know… when blogs like ours actually received review copies in advance of street dates).

I have to keep reminding myself that Segel is starring alongside Black in Gulliver’s Travels at Christmas. It’s hard to remember because Segel has been largely absent from the film’s advertising.
