If you had any doubt whether the 3D-ification of Seth Rogen’s Green Hornet would be a good idea or not, just take a look at this footage captured by CinemaBlend. This was captured at New York Comic Con, as displayed on a 3D television. While you don’t get a great view of the 3D effects, it’s easy to see how 3D will be used in very interesting ways. And it’s awfully clear that Michel Gondry is adding visual flair to the film. The character of Kato (Jay Chou) certainly seems to be the breakout personality in this film.

So, gang, what do you think? Does this make your more or less excited for Seth Rogen’s turn as a comic book hero?

While I was initially not thrilled with this version of the “Green Hornet” I decided to take a wait and see approach, my biggest concern was that Mr.Rogan being a comedian by trade would turn one of the coolest, classiest, and most believable super crime fighters of all time into a campy, clown
reminiscent of the 1960s Adam West “Batman” tv series however so far Mr.Rogan has proven me wrong and I might say risen to the occasion in his physical appearance, storyline, of course
the legendary Black Beauty sedan and excellent casting, and direction so I am now hopeful of 3 outcomes (1) the movie does justice to the legacy left by Van Williams,Bruce Lee, Wende Wagner and the others (2) the movie is a hit with a 21st century new generation, as well as this boomer, yours truly, and (3) the film would lead to more films and or a new TV series that could finally take it’s rightful place among crime shows like CSI Law and order etc etc
I really hope this takes off because the Green Hornet is way worth it
