‘Paul’ Teaser Trailer Finally Arrives

Kristin Wiig and Simon Pegg in 'Paul'
A year after shooting wrapped, we now have our first look at the all-star comedy ‘Paul‘, starring comedy duo Simon Pegg and Nick Frost, as two sci-fi fans who discover an alien (voiced by Seth Rogen) during a road trip to Comic Con.
Not much is revealed in the new teaser, but we know it’s got major supporting roles from Jason Bateman, Kristin Wiig and Sigourney Weaver, many explosions, and an omage to E.T.’s famous trick-or-treat scene. Not seen in the trailer are supporting cast members Bill Hader, David Koechner, Jane Lynch, Joe LoTruglio, Blythe Danner or Jeffrey Tambor.
Paul, from Superbad director Greg Mottola, arrives in U.S. theaters March 18th, 2011, and a month earlier on February 18th in the U.K.

Actually, Jane Lynch is in the trailer. She appears as a waitress with a coffee pot in her hand, and is easy to miss.
One has to wonder if Rogen’s distinctive voice is actually a liability for this role. BOB from Monsters vs. Aliens was one thing. I don’t see him as an alien.
Paul should have had a more cartoony look to go with Rogen’s voice and since it’s a comedy. I see a bit of an uncanny valley effect on him
man 2011 will be good
