Vince-Vaughn.com Rides into the Sunset
The owner of Vince-Vaughn.com, one of the internet’s leading fan sites, has decided to shut the site down.
The site has been running the site and fan forum for over seven years. In addition to a resource for fans of Vince Vaughn, the site was partnered as the official forum for The Frat Pack Tribute. Here’s the message sent to forum members earlier today:
As webmaster of Vince-Vaughn.com and administrator of the Vince-Vaughn.com
Forum, I have decided to close down the site. Running Vince-Vaughn.com has
been a great hobby for me which initially began as a web design learning
project. It grew into something bigger and more time-consuming than I can
manage effectively. I just don’t have the time to stay current on the
latest web publishing technologies, and more importantly, the content
needed to produce a quality website devoted to Vince. With the abundance of
information available about Vince on other entertainment websites, there
really isn’t a need to publish redundant articles, news, etc. Plus, I feel
traditional discussion forums have become a thing of the past. That’s just
my opinion, but people are more inclined to comment on blog posts than they
are to post in forums. The website was a nice tribute to him, but my life is so full with family,
my career and other hobbies that I enjoy, that I just don’t have enough
minutes in the day to keep it up. It has been a great run (7 years!) but it
is time to move on! I am thankful for all of the bittersweet memories
associated with this little chapter of my life, and for all the wonderful
people I met through Vince-Vaughn.com: Pru, Laura, Krissy, Kevin, Jean,
Sarah, Shell, Brian, and many more. You guys are the best! The forum will be shut down sometime in the next few days, as will the main
page.Don’t forget The Frat Pack Tribute site, www.the-frat-pack.com is an
excellent resource for all news related to Vince, Ben Stiller, Will
Ferrell, Owen Wilson, and other actors associated with The Frat Pack.
Everyone here at the Tribute owes a large debt to Christine and all the forum administrators and members for building such a large community that we were honored to be a part of.

The V-V forums were such an integral part of this site. If a major story broke, we’d first go straight to the forum with the announcement. It was such an integral part of my experience with the Frat Pack site. A big applause to Christine for all the heavy-lifting that goes on with maintaining the site & forums over the years. I’m going to miss it greatly.
The forums were where it all begain for me, it was fun.
Sadness! I miss all of our discussions we used to have. It was so much fun back in the day. Facebook and Twitter just don’t cut it sometimes. I love you all! OK, not all, but most. :’)
I’m thinking that without the nagging feeling that I’m supposed to be (and avoiding) updating software, posting news, fixing galleries, updating filmography, etc., I will perhaps be spending more time over here. I don’t want to lose touch with my inner fan geek.
Thanks for your kind words, Kevin.
I go to visit the forum for the first time in a while and it’s gone… I know it hadn’t exactly been very active for a few months but I assumed it would always be around. I’m kinda depressed now. I have some great memories regarding that place.
