Earmuff Awards: Performances

These are the winners of the 6th Annual Frat Pack Earmuff Awards in the Performance Categories. The complete list of winners are available at EarmuffAwards.com.

Get Him to the Greek’s strong ensemble cast was rewarded with several awards in the Performance categories. Jonah Hill was winner for Best Actor, playing the lead role against more outrageous characters. Hill’s empathetic performance was the solid foundation for the film and Hill’s most nuanced yet as an actor. Hill was appeared in the widely regarded Cryus this year as well. Hill’s costar Sean Combs had breakthrough acting performance as music label exec Sergio. The rapper-turned-actor won Best Supporting Actor and Best Character for a role originally written as a Jewish character.

Several strong female performances were winners as well. Tina Fey won Best Actress in Date Night, a role that featured a mix of funny dialogue, some hilarious physical humor, and a lof of dramatic emotion. Kathryn Hahn made everyone forget her horny 2009 performance in The Goods with a heartfelt role in How Do You Know, winning Best Supporting Actress.  And Superbad and Zombieland costar Emma Stone showed she could carry a film on her own with an acclaimed performance in Easy A, which won the Earmuff for Best Performance by a Frat Pack Friend.

Steve Carell’s unique accent won the award for Best Voiceover for Despicable Me. James Franco’s Oscar-nominated role in 127 Hours won the Earmuff for Best Dramatic performance, and Franco also shared the award for Best Frat Pack Cameo with Mila Kunis for their portrayal of a twisted couple in Date Night. The Other Guys‘ sole Earmuff Award came in the Best Celebrity Cameo category, which was another shared award for Samuel L. Jackson and Dwayne Johnson for their extended but pivotal cameo appearance.
