NBC has released a teaser hyping Will Ferrell’s upcoming guest spot on The Office, as Michael Scott’s replacement, Deangelo Vickers. You can’t get around the epic reteaming of Carell and Ferrell without dropping an Anchorman reference, which Ed Helms hilariously provides.

Addressing speculation over Carell’s full-time replacement, producers have played down Ferrell’s joking about completely joining the cast, while season finale guest star Will Arnett has just signed on for a new sitcom pilot from SNL mastermind Lorne Michaels, co-starring Christina Applegate and Maya Rudolph. With major names like Ferrell and Arnett seemingly out of the picture, perhaps the original web rumblings about Dwight, Andy or Darryl taking the boss position may be the final result.
