Will Ferrell Shaves Conan’s Beard

You’ll be hard-pressed to find a tighter ten minutes of comedy from Will Ferrell than his appearance on Conan O’Brien’s show last night. The actor appeared nominally to promote his upcoming dramedy Everything Must Go (opening on May 13 in limited release), but Ferrell only¬†begrudgingly¬†did so. Instead, Ferrell taunted the talk show host and by the end of the clip had shaved a large portion of O’Brien’s beard.

Ferrell has been a regular guest on O’Brien’s shows for years, starting with Late Night when the show was shot in New York City where Saturday Night Live was also taped. Later, Ferrell was the first, and last, guest on O’Brien’s brief edition of The Tonight Show. Famously, the talk show host joined the actor with a touching rendition of “Free Bird” to end that series. Clearly, the two have rapport and on May 2nd the comedy magic was still present.
