Owen Wilson is the New Voice of Hertz
I guess some might call it synergy, with Owen Wilson trading on his upcoming lead role in Cars 2 to now become the voice of Hertz. The car rental company is launching a new campaign, according to an article in Ad Week. The company seems to be targeting two customer types, by using the metaphor of “The Gas and the Brake” though the introductory commercial is a little obscure.
Presumably Wilson will be voicing future spots as well. So, what do you think Frat fans? Sellout? Or about time?

I love Owen’s voice so I think it’s about time. I’ve been hearing quite a few people voicing commercials. Tim Allen does one for Michigan. The guy that was on Friday Night Lights voices a commercial as well. I don’t see a problem with it.

I knew it was Owen as soon as I heard it and it just made me smile! Love him, love his voice! I’d rent from Hertz!
