If you’d like to learn how differently a studio cuts a trailer for a mainstream comedy release vs. an quirky indie, look no further than the new trailer for Paul Rudd’s upcoming summer flick, Our Idiot Brother. We showed you the original trailer back in April and commented that it didn’t give much away and wanted to see Elizabeth Banks more. Faster than you can say “we’ll spoil everything and be sure to exploit our famous actress costars” we present the new trailer for Our Idiot Brother.

Now that wasn’t really so bad. In fact, it makes the movie look a lot funnier and way less depressing. And there sure is a lot of the charming Paul Rudd we’ve come to expect. There’s even a peek of Rashida Jones, who is sadly underused in the trailer (on the other hand, have you seen the GQ feature about Rashida Jones? Yowza!) We’re looking forward to the film when it debuts in August.
