New Line has closed a deal with John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein, writers of the first Horrible Bosses, to develop a sequel. Original stars Jason Bateman, Charlie Day and Jason Sudeikis are all expected to return, as most likely will original director Seth Gordon.

No word on how the “surviving” castmembers will be involved, or Jamie Foxx’s murder consultant Motherf***er Jones, but let’s hope the writers can come up with an equally fresh and hilarious idea, not a complete by-the-numbers rehash like The Hangover Part II.

Daley and Goldstein also wrote the upcoming Burt Wonderstone, starrring Steve Carell and Jim Carrey, for New Line.

It’s got to be Horrible *Something* (but not bosses). Horrible Vacation, perhaps?

    Loved the first one.
    Sequel ideas:

    Horrible Teachers (Possible prequel)
    Horrible Vacation (Kevin’s Idea)
Horrible Hangover (It had to be in there!!) ;)
Horrible Bosses Part II (Rehash of the original)
Horrible Employees (Bateman, Day & Sudeikis are now the bosses but they’re not horrible)
Nice Bosses (Opposite of the original)

I’ve got loads of other ideas but they’re the only ones I’m telling you.
