Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson Set to Reteam in ‘Interns’
Wedding Crashers costars Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson are set to reteam for a new workplace comedy called Interns, according to Vulture. The film is coming together quickly after Vaughn’s The Insane Laws was shelved due to budget issues, and comes from a script penned by Vaughn. Shawn Levy (Date Night, Night at the Museum) is set to direct after recently becoming available after his Frankenstein project was also shelved.

Owen Wilson and Vince Vaughn in Wedding Crashers
According to Vulture, the description of the movie is as follows:
Vaughn and Wilson will play forty-ish company guys who both get laid off in a downsizing. Convinced they’ve gone about managing their careers entirely wrong, they resolve to become interns at a Google-like dotcom and start anew. Suddenly, the two old chums are competing against wily, fresh-faced 22 year olds for advancement.
The film has echoes of Old School, of course. But it also seems similar to Outsourced, a film that the duo was set to make in 2006, in which Wilson and Vaughn would play Americans who were laid off and went to Mexico to find jobs. This would be the first time the duo have appeared together since their 2005 comedy smash Wedding Crashers, which grossed over $275 million worldwide. It is, however, the latest piece of an emerging trend for both actors working more frequently with their Frat Pack counterparts. Vaughn has just wrapped Neighborhood Watch with Ben Stiller (with Levy as producer) and Owen Wilson has appeared with Jack Black and Paul Rudd in his recent films.
You can bet we’ll be watching the development of this project very closely. And we’re praying this film offers the opportunity for some great cameos.

Love it! I hope they mix in some new blood, and not ONLY the same old “young guard” (Seth, Jonah, Jay Baruchel…) I can see a few of the twentysomethings from Workaholics and Christopher Mintz-Plasse as their competitors. And yes, Jay Baruchel or Bill Hader would be awesome, but so would Kumail Nanjiani, maybe Donald Glover and/or Danny Pudi… Their boss needs to be/look at least 10-15 years younger than them - Demitri Martin would be fantastic. And John Francis Daley needs to be in this movie.
Can’t believe they haven’t teamed up since ‘Wedding Crashers’, I hope this is going to be great and actually gets made this time.
Can’t wait, wish it wasn’t Shawn Levy directing (he sucks, only Night at the Museum is good). Also a script from Vaughn scares me because he hasn’t writ anything funny in a long time.
