Disney’s latest animated feature film Wreck-It Ralph is opening today and features key voice talent that we’re all really familiar with. The video game-centered film stars John C. Reilly along with Jack McBrayer (Forgetting Sarah Marshall), Sarah Silverman (The School of Rock), and Jane Lynch (Role Models). From all appearances these four voices carry the film, with Reilly’s Ralph character the obvious protagonist. But, I do get a sense that Silverman and McBrayer have larger roles than expected.  Also appearing in the film are Alan Tudyk (Dodgeball, pictured below), Mindy Kaling (The Office), Rachael Harris (The Hangover), and Horatio Sanz (Step Brothers).  Other voices include Edie McClurg (pictured below) and Dennis Haysbert.

The premiere for the film was a family affair as many cast members brought their kids. Will Ferrell greeted his Talladega Nights buddy while wearing a hat that the two had named “Patches” according to interviews with Reilly. Also notable… that’s quite the mustache that Ferrell is sporting. Could he be growing that in for his upcoming turn in the Anchorman sequel?

Update (Sunday, November 4):
I caught the film today and this thing is a hoot. Lots of “old school” references for Moms and Dads, but lots of new/modern references for kids, too. John C. Reilly really knocks it out of the park and honestly all of the four principals are expertly cast. The film is really a lot of fun and based on the huge $50m opening weekend I expect we’ll see more of Ralph and the gang somewhere, somehow.  In addition to the voices already mentioned, Joe Lo Truglio also appears in the film.
