60 Minutes is airing a profile of This is 40 director Judd Apatow tonight, one week after delaying the package due to coverage of the Connecticut school shooting. A preview of the profile is shown below and includes interviews with Will Ferrell and Adam McKay.

Meanwhile, This is 40 is holding steady at the box office after a disappointing first weekend. The film made an estimated $13.1 million, according to estimates at Box Office Guru. That’s an increase of 14% compared to the previous weekend and brings the total North American box office to $37 million. The R-rated film did do better on a per-screen average than the newly opening PG-rated Parental Guidance and the PG-13 action picture Jack Reacher.  At this rate the film is most certainly going to exceed the $51 million total box office for Apatow’s last directorial effort, Funny People, though the gross is still disappointing. This is 40 had a production budget of $35 million.

In other box office news, The Guilt Trip saw a 24% increase for an estimated total of $6.7 million this weekend. Total box office now stands at $21 million.

You can watch the segment online.

Here’s a bonus clip where Leslie Mann talks about her first date with Apatow. And then Apatow lays a whole lot of embarrassment on his entire family.
