Will Ferrell appeared on the UK Comic Relief benefit in character as Ron Burgundy, part of this year’s Red Nose Day fundraising activities. The annual event is organized by screenwriter and director Richard Curtis (Not Necessarily the News, Notting Hill, Love Actually). The clip appeared as part of the show that was televised in the UK on Friday.

Ferrell’s clip is seen below in this low-quality clip. Burgundy indicates he will donate $10 but has trouble finding it inside his massive and very expensive coat. There are jokes about the source material for the coat, and then Burgundy questions the charity and Curtis himself as the organizer, saying “Richard Curtis has gone a long way to steal money from your country. He should be tried at The Hague.”

You can donate to Comic Relief using the link above. Burgundy, of course, will be seen in theaters this December.
