Justin Long is starring as Steve Jobs in a new feature-length project iSteve from Funny or Die. The project is jumping the gun on the Jobs film starring Ashton Kutcher and another Jobs film from Oscar winning screenwriter Aaron Sorkin (The Social Network), currently in development. Kutcher’s film debuted at Sundance and was scheduled for release this month but has been delayed due to “marketing campaign” issues (or the need for reshoots, depending on who you ask).

iSteve stars Long who appeared as Mac in the longtime Mac vs. PC ads from Apple. The Dodgeball and The Break-Up star will play Jobs throughout his entire adult life starting with Apple’s founding in 1976 (heard in the trailer) as well as later in life as shown by the promo photo. Writer and director Ryan Perez wrote the film in three days and filmed it in five. “In true Internet fashion, it’s not based on very thorough research — essentially a cursory look at the Steve Jobs Wikipedia page. It’s very silly. But it looks at his whole life”, Perez stated.

The teaser trailer is now available. The full film will debut on April 15.
