Trailer for Elizabeth Banks in ‘Walk of Shame’
Elizabeth Banks has a storied career as a key supporting player in a number of comedic and dramatic films, but she’s rarely toplined a film. But she’s finally getting her chance to be the sole headliner in Walk of Shame, coming to theaters this April. The trailer for the film was released this week.
It’s clear there are all kinds of holes in the plot, with about a million ways her character likely could be solving her dilemma. But, this is a comedy after all and nobody will complain about the plot if they are laughing their heads off. The R-rating is one potentially note of optimism for the prospects of the film. On the other hand, it’s directed by Steven Brill who is known for directing the very uneven Drillbit Taylor and a couple of Adam Sandler’s lesser films (Mr Deeds and Little Nicky). Brill did direct the quite charming Heavy Weights starring Ben Stiller. Walk of Shame also stars James Marsden, fresh from Anchorman 2, and Gillian Jacobs seen recently on the big screen in The Incredible Burt Wonderstone.
