Frat Pack Friends Only at Oscars on Sunday
Sunday’s Academy Awards ceremony should be entertaining as always, even if our Frat Pack favorites aren’t likely to go home with gold (sorry Jonah Hill fans). In past years, Ben Stiller and Will Ferrell made memorable appearances during the ceremony so there’s a hope that year will also provide some memorable moments outside the acceptance speeches and the awards themselves.
There are quite a number of familiar faces, including Bradley Cooper and Amy Adams from American Hustle, Jason Sudeikis, and Kristen Bell. Nice to see elder statesmen with Frat Pack connections such as Robert DeNiro and Harrison Ford (legendary cameo in Anchorman 2!).
If we’re looking for someone to provide a breakout comedic moment, it seems this is Jim Carrey’s race to lose (I rewatched Burt Wonderstone recently and still really like many aspects of the film including Carrey’s physical humor).
Complete list of Oscar Presenters:
Amy Adams, Kristen Bell, Jessica Biel, Jim Carrey, Glenn Close, Bradley Cooper, Penélope Cruz, Benedict Cumberbatch, Viola Davis, Daniel Day-Lewis, Robert De Niro, Zac Efron, Sally Field, Harrison Ford, Jamie Foxx, Andrew Garfield, Jennifer Garner, Whoopi Goldberg, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Anne Hathaway, Goldie Hawn, Chris Hemsworth, Kate Hudson, Samuel L. Jackson, Angelina Jolie, Michael B. Jordan, Anna Kendrick, Jennifer Lawrence, Matthew McConaughey, Ewan McGregor, Bill Murray , Kim Novak, Tyler Perry, Brad Pitt, Sidney Poitier, Gabourey Sidibe, Will Smith, Kevin Spacey, Jason Sudeikis, Channing Tatum, Charlize Theron, John Travolta, Christoph Waltz, Kerry Washington, Emma Watson and Naomi Watts.
We’re certainly rooting for Bradley Cooper and Jonah Hill to pull a major upset in the Best Supporting Actor race, that’s most certainly a longshot since every Oscar prognosticator has picked Jared Leto.
In any case, if you have comments about the Oscar ceremony leave them below.
